Our cakes are of the highest quality and taste as good as they look! The light sponge is superb with a moist, soft texture that melts in your mouth.
They are available in two flavours - classic sponge with raspberry jam & buttercream filling, or chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream.
Choose from two sizes:
- Medium (8 inch) measures 8 x 8 inches (20 x 20 cm) and serves 16 to 24 portions.
- Large (10 inch) measures 10 x 10 inches (25 x 25 cm) and serves 24 to 36 portions.
Of course the number of portions depends on how you cut the cake! Our guide is based on a slice from 2 to 3 inches by one inch.
We use only the best quality ingredients including free range eggs. Because the sponge is completely enclosed in the icing they keep very well. We guarantee they will stay fresh for a minimum of 5 days, but usually they last even longer.They are square in shape, covered in white sugarpaste icing and sit on a thick cake board with piped royal icing shells around the base. Our cakes are made and iced by hand. Whilst we try to make each one as square and as flat as possible, there may be slight variations.
If you are sending this as a gift you can include a personalised gift card after you add it to the basket. You will be asked for the delivery address when you check out.

We offer corporate clients discounts on large quantities and can deliver direct to a number of different destinations. If you would like us to deliver to multiple customers or branches of your business just send us the addresses and we take care of the rest.
Orders received by 10 am Monday to Thursday can be delivered the next working day.
Delivery costs depend on the item, quantity and service. When you add this item to the basket you can see all the options and charges and choose your delivery date.
You can enter a different delivery address if you are sending an item as a gift, or if you would like it delivered to your workplace.
If nobody is available to accept delivery then the driver might try a neighbour. Otherwise, a card will be left with details of how to arrange redelivery or collection.
You can ask for your order to be left with a neighbour, or tell us about a safe place it can be left.

Classic Sponge Cake:
A Golden Sponge Cake filled with Vanilla Buttercream and Raspberry Jam, covered in a layer of Sugar Paste and finished with Hand Piped Royal Icing
Ingredients: Sugar, water, fortified wheat flour (wheat flour, calcium carbonate, iron, niacin, thiamin), rapeseed oil, maize and wheat glucose syrup, dried free range egg, butter (milk), wheat glucose-fructose syrup, humectant: vegetable glycerine; raspberry purée, apricots, emulsifiers: lactic acid esters of mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, polyglycerol esters of fatty acids, sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate; palm oil, raising agents: diphosphates, potassium carbonate, sodium carbonates; stabiliser: tragacanth; salt, milk whey powder, maize dextrose, rice starch, preservative: potassium sorbate; flavourings, gelling agent: pectin; acidity regulators: citric acid, sodium citrates; colour: anthocyanins; dried free range egg albumen.
