Fruit Cake

Our traditional, dark, rich fruit cake contains spices and fruit that are soaked before the cake is baked then left to mature to develop the flavours. It is covered with marzipan and white sugarpaste. 

The fruit cake measures 6 inches by 6 inches (15 cm x 15 cm) and will serve 16 to 24 portions, depending on how you cut the slices. Traditionally you would serve a square of around one to one and a half inches. 

Fruit Cakes ordered between October and Christmas have a best before date of 31st January the following year. At other times of year our fruit cakes have a shelf life of at least 30 days. 

Sponge Cake

Our sponge cakes are superb with a moist, soft texture that melts in your mouth. They are available in two flavours - classic sponge with raspberry jam & buttercream filling, or chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream. Choose from two sizes:

• Medium (8 inch) measures 8 x 8 inches (20 x 20 cm) and serves 16 to 24 portions. 
• Large (10 inch) measures 10 x 10 inches (25 x 25 cm) and serves 24 to 36 portions.

Of course the number of portions depends on how you cut the cake! Our guide is based on a slice from 2 to 3 inches by one inch.

We use only the best quality ingredients including free range eggs. Because the sponge is completely enclosed in the icing they keep very well. We guarantee they will stay fresh for a minimum of 5 days, but usually they last even longer.

If you are sending this as a gift you can include a personalised gift card after you add it to the basket. You will be asked for the delivery address when you check out.

You can upload your photo or logo when you add this item to the basket, or leave it until after your order is completed. In the basket you can upload any image file including JPG, BMP, GIF or PDF. If you want to send any other type of file, or if you want to send it later then please complete your order and make payment. On the order confirmation screen you will see a link to an upload page where you can then upload, email or post any kind of picture.

Here are a few pointers:

• The better the quality of your original picture is, the better the finished result will be. The actual size of your picture is not important, we will enlarge or reduce it to fit.
• If you send a very small picture then some quality may be lost if it needs to be enlarged. As a general rule, if it prints well on paper then it will print well on icing.
• If you are scanning a photo, usually a resolution of 150dpi works best.
• Black & White photos work just as well as colour.

We offer corporate clients discounts on large quantities and can deliver direct to a number of different destinations. If you would like us to deliver to multiple customers or branches of your business just send us the addresses and we take care of the rest.  

Orders received by 1 pm Monday to Thursday can be delivered the next working day.

Order by 11am on Friday for delivery on Saturday.

Delivery costs depend on the item, quantity and service. When you add this item to the basket you can see all the options and charges and choose your delivery date.

You can enter a different delivery address if you are sending an item as a gift, or if you would like it delivered to your workplace.

If nobody is available to accept delivery then the driver might try a neighbour. Otherwise, a card will be left with details of how to arrange redelivery or collection.

You can ask for your order to be left with a neighbour, or tell us about a safe place it can be left.

For delivery to the following locations we can only take orders over the phone. Please contact us for details as surcharges may apply:

• Channel Islands
• Scottish Highlands & Islands and certain Scottish postcodes classed as remote
• Isle of Wight
• Isle of Man
• Isle of Scilly
• Northern Ireland

Deliveries to other remote areas may take an extra day, please check with us first if you are unsure.
