Our cakes are of the highest quality and taste as good as they look! The light sponge is superb with a moist, soft texture that melts in your mouth.

They are available in two flavours - classic sponge with raspberry jam & buttercream filling, or chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream.

Choose from two sizes:

  • Medium (8 inch) measures 8 x 8 inches (20 x 20 cm) and serves 20 to 30 portions.
  • Large (10 inch) measures 10 x 10 inches (25 x 25 cm) and serves 30 to 50 portions.

Of course the number of portions depends on how you cut the cake! Our guide is based on a slice from 2 to 3 inches by one inch.

We use only the best quality ingredients including free range eggs. Because the sponge is completely enclosed in the icing they keep very well. We guarantee they will stay fresh for a minimum of 5 days, but usually they last even longer. They are square in shape, covered in white sugarpaste icing and sit on a thick cake board with piped royal icing shells around the base. For full details please click on the Ingredients & Product Info link above.

Our cakes are made and iced by hand. Whilst we try to make each one as square and as flat as possible, there may be slight variations.

Hello I would just like to say thank you for the lovely 25th Anniversary Cake we had recently. It was delicious and lasted well, this including the journey to our friend's guest-house in Northumberland (a much travelled cake!) It was well-packaged and a real treat, thank you again,

Irene Parry

Champagne exists thanks to the Romans who planted vineyards in this region of France. In the early days of production, the winemakers considered its bubbles, a result of the challenging climate, to be a horrific fault and tried to correct it. However, foreign consumers developed a taste for the unique bubbly wine, particularly amongst us Brits. Popularity bloomed and winemakers instead sought to perfect the process of forming bubbles and producing the bottles to contain such Champagne.
