SPONGE CAKES

INGREDIENTS, STORAGE AND ALLERGY INFORMATION

Store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not freeze. Do not refrigerate. 

Cakes are despatched to remain fresh for at least 5 days. See individual products for best before dates.

Classic Sponge Cake: 

A Golden Sponge Cake filled with Vanilla Buttercream and Raspberry Jam, covered in a  layer of Sugar Paste and finished with Hand Piped Royal Icing

Ingredients: Sugar, water, fortified wheat flour (wheat flour, calcium carbonate, iron, niacin, thiamin), rapeseed oil, maize and wheat glucose syrup, dried free range egg, butter (milk), wheat glucose-fructose syrup, humectant: vegetable glycerine; raspberry purée, apricots, emulsifiers: lactic acid esters of mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, polyglycerol esters of fatty acids, sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate; palm oil, raising agents: diphosphates, potassium carbonate, sodium carbonates; stabiliser: tragacanth; salt, milk whey powder, maize dextrose, rice starch, preservative: potassium sorbate; flavourings, gelling agent: pectin; acidity regulators: citric acid, sodium citrates; colour: anthocyanins; dried free range egg albumen.

Chocolate Sponge Cake:

A Chocolate Sponge Cake filled with Chocolate Buttercream, covered in a layer of Sugar Paste and finished with Hand Piped Royal Icing

Ingredients: Sugar, pasteurised free range egg, rapeseed oil, fortified wheat flour (wheat flour, calcium carbonate, iron, niacin, thiamin), water, butter (milk), wheat glucose syrup, fat reduced cocoa powder, cocoa powder, modified maize starch, milk whey powder, humectant: vegetable glycerine; palm oil, emulsifiers: mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, propane-1,2-diol esters of fatty acids, sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate; wheat glucose-fructose syrup, stabiliser: tragacanth; raising agents: diphosphates, sodium carbonates; salt, apricots, cocoa mass, wheat gluten, flavouring, gelling: agent pectin; acidity regulators: citric acid, sodium citrates.
