UNDECORATED Plain White Iced Sponge Cake
Our delicious iced sponge cakes are available to buy for you to decorate yourself. Delivered as pictured, covered in smooth white sugarpaste. Royal icing beads hold it on a thick cake drum (board), but it's otherwise undecorated.
Add your own finishing touches with figurines, sugarpaste flowers or wedding decorations to create your own design. Our undecorated iced sponge cakes are ideal for wedding cakes, birthday cakes, or cakes for any special occasion or celebration.
To make your own photocake and save on the price of a complete photocake, you can buy this blank cake and one of our edible printed photo toppers. Choose the square for an 8 inch cake, or the extra large square for a 10 inch cake.
Our cakes are of the highest quality and taste as good as they look! The light sponge is superb with a moist, soft texture that melts in your mouth.
They are available in two flavours - classic sponge with raspberry jam & buttercream filling, or chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream.
Choose from two sizes - medium or large. The medium cake measures 8 x 8 inches (20 x 20 cm) and will serve around 15 to 20 portions. The large is 10 x 10 inches (25 x 25 cm) and serves 25 to 30. Of course the number of portions depends on how you cut the cake! Our guide is based on a 2 inch (5 cm) slice.
We use only the best quality ingredients including free range eggs. Because the sponge is completely enclosed in the icing they keep very well. We guarantee they will stay fresh for a minimum of 5 days, but usually they last even longer.They are square in shape, covered in white sugarpaste icing and sit on a thick cake board with piped royal icing shells around the base. Our cakes are made and iced by hand. Whilst we try to make each one as square and as flat as possible, there may be slight variations.

If you are sending this as a gift you can include a personalised gift card after you add it to the basket. You will be asked for the delivery address when you check out.
Delivery is from £5.95 depending on the item, quantity and service. When you add this item to the basket you can see all the options and charges and choose your delivery date.
Orders received by 2 pm Monday to Thursday can be delivered the next day. Order by 12 noon on a Friday for Saturday delivery.
You can enter a different delivery address if you are sending an item as a gift, or if you would like it delivered to your workplace.
Delivery could be at any time up to 5.30 pm - or 1 pm if you choose the morning option
If nobody is available to accept delivery then the driver might try a neighbour. Otherwise, a card will be left with details of how to arrange redelivery or collection.
You can ask for your order to be left with a neighbour, or tell us about a safe place it can be left.
For delivery of cakes and cupcakes outside the UK or to the following locations we can only take orders over the phone. Please contact us for details as surcharges may apply:

CLASSIC SPONGE CAKE: Sponge cake (51%) , Sugar Paste (32%), Buttercream (14%), Raspberry Jam, Apricot Jam, Royal Icing.
Sponge Cake contains sugar, water, wheat flour, rapeseed oil, dried free range egg, emulsifiers: lactic acid esters of mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, polyglycerol esters of fatty acids, sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate; raising agents: diphosphates, sodium carbonate; salt, milk whey powder, maize glucose, preservative potassium sorbate. Chocolate Sponge contains sugar, rapeseed oil, pasteurised free range egg, wheat flour, water, modified maize starch, cocoa powder, fat reduced cocoa powder, milk whey powder, raising agents: diphosphates and sodium carbonates; salt, emulsifiers: mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, propane-1,2-diol esters of fatty acids and sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate; cocoa butter, cocoa mass, wheat gluten, flavouring. Sugar Paste contains sugar, maize glucose syrup, palm oil, rapeseed oil, humectant vegetable glycerine; emulsifier mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids; acidity regulators: acetic acid, sodium acetate; stabiliser tragacanth; flavouring.
